FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What EV charging equipment do I need for my dealership?
The Terra AC 40a L2 Wall Box purchased from InCharge Energy on the previous page is the required equipment for your dealership to become compliant to receive your Stag allocation. A minimum of one charger is mandatory, however we strongly suggest you look at your allocation, and install enough units that will suffice future allocations. This 9.6kW Wall Box is a high end commercial unit that will charge the Stag at the max input rate set by Volcon.
Do I need an electrician to install the chargers?
It is highly recommended to set up an appointment with an electrician to verify your electrical panel is compatible to operate your new chargers. The Terra AC is a Level 2, 40 amp charger and comes shipped as a hard wire unit. Your electrician can install a 240v line to the specific location that best works for your service department. InCharge HIGHLY RECOMMENDS your electrician to hard wire the charger into a 240v line for safety.
Will I need software to operate my chargers?
Software is not required to run the Terra AC Wallbox, however one of the advantages of purchasing a high end commercial charger such as the Terra AC, is being able to install the InControl™ software package that allows you to monitor who is using your chargers, and to determine state of charge on the vehicle. Additionally, InControl can perform maintenance and trouble shooting 24/7 should you have problems charging. As you expand your dealership with other EV vehicles, InControl will help control utility costs. There is a monthly charge of $50.00 per month, or $600 per year to use InControl, should you decide to add. The InCharge Energy team can help with any questions you may have about the advantages of this great tool
What are the advantages to having the InControl software connected to my chargers?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut tortor pretium viverra suspendisse potenti nullam ac tortor.
How long does it take to charge the STAG with this new equipment?
The battery capacity for the new Volcon Stag is 42kW. While charging times vary in certain conditions, the Stag has a max input charge rate of 7.2kW, so you can expect to fully charge the vehicle from 0 to100% in less than six hours. Keep in mind that you will most likely never charge from 0%, so charge times will be less, depending on the current state of charge before connecting.
Some of my employees are driving electric vehicles now, and I am thinking about adding additional chargers, and even a DC Fast charger. Can InCharge help me with this?
InCharge has installed thousands of EV Level 2 AC and DC Fast chargers throughout North America, and can absolutely consult with you on your best options, as well as provide information on design and even quotes for these upgrades.
What is the standard warranty on the EV charging equipment?
The equipment warranty is two years. InCharge offers an extended warranty that can provide additional coverage for up to five (5) years.
